Our Team

Chris Salyers
President
I started TNT in 2013 with the goal of running a small subcontracting operation. But after a pivotal moment and sound advice from a friend, I saw the potential for something greater—and we’ve been growing ever since.
Our success comes down to one thing: a strong, dependable team. From our dedicated sales reps to our skilled field crews, everyone plays a role in delivering exceptional service and building lasting client relationships.
At TNT, we believe in “Working with the best to achieve the best,” and we live that every day. We’re proud to be one of the top tubular running service providers in Western Canada—and we’re ready to prove it.

Trevor Greer
Sales Manager
I’ve called Alberta home for the past 20 years, with a decade of experience in sales based in downtown Calgary. My background includes a strong foundation in the boating industry, where I also worked as a professional wakeboard and water ski coach. I later transitioned into oilfield sales, gaining experience across several areas including downhole tools, hot shot logistics, surface rentals, solids control, and oilfield hauling. Most recently, I’ve joined the team at TNT Power Tongs, where I’ll be leading our sales efforts in the Calgary region.

Austin Gallan
Field Technician
I’ve worked in the oilfield industry for over 30 years, including a decade on service rigs and 13 years in snubbing. I’ve also spent the last 10 years specializing in pipe jacking. I joined TNT Power Tongs in 2022, where my primary role is pipe jacking on SAGD wells. I’ve also had some experience operating the catwalk. TNT has been a great company to work for—my colleagues are skilled, dependable, and genuinely good people. Pipe jacking remains my area of expertise and passion, having dedicated many years to mastering the craft.

James *Jimi* Hearn
Field Technician
With 25 years of experience in the oilfield, I’ve built a reputation as “Jimi-Tork.” I’ve been with TNT Power Tongs since 2018 and hold the distinction of being the company’s longest-serving employee. Over the years, I’ve taken on multiple roles including thread supervisor and catwalk operator, and I’m currently operating the computer systems—a role I particularly enjoy. I’m also proud to be part of the well-known Dutch-Newfie duo alongside my colleague Pieter. Throughout my time in the industry, I’ve stayed committed to bringing skill, reliability, and a good sense of humor to every job.

Mateusz Cole
Field Technician
I’ve been with TNT for approximately three years. My strengths lie in my strong work ethic, adaptability, and ability to get along with everyone on the team. I’m always willing to get my hands dirty and take pride in working efficiently and effectively.
Around the shop, I’m often the go-to person for locating parts, tools, and equipment—thanks to my familiarity with the space and attention to detail. In the field, I regularly operate the thread wash truck and catwalk, but I’m always ready to jump in and run tongs or assist with other equipment as needed. I also make a point to keep team morale high and contribute to a positive work environment wherever I go.

Jason Zintel
Field Technician
With over 11 years of hands-on oilfield experience across Canada and the United States, I bring a strong background in Power Tongs operation, Thread Supervision, and CRT tools. I’ve worked on a wide variety of rigs and well sites, consistently adapting to different environments while maintaining a focus on safety, efficiency, and high-quality results.
In the field, I’m frequently assigned to the thread wash truck and catwalk, but I’m always ready to jump in wherever I’m needed—whether that’s running tongs or supporting other equipment operations. I take pride in being a dependable team member who thrives under pressure, brings a strong work ethic, and helps maintain a positive, grounded team dynamic along the way.

Lukasz Rygielski
Field Technician
I’ve been working in the oilfield since 2011, safely running over one million metres of pipe and building strong client relationships across Canada. My career began in well servicing with Precision Drilling, followed by eight years at Hallmark Tubulars, where I operated power tongs and worked extensively with both premium and API casing across a wide range of well types.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained hands-on experience with Volant CRTs, torque subs, thread inspection, and torque monitoring systems such as WinCat and McCoy MTT. I also completed Thread Specialist training with Tenaris in Mexico. In 2023, I returned to the field with TNT Power Tongs, where I continue to deliver high-quality, dependable service using advanced equipment and torque technology.

Pieter Jan Hoogendoorn
Field Technician
I’ve been with TNT Power Tongs since 2017, primarily operating power tongs and pipe jacks, though I’m experienced with nearly all equipment across the company. With over 20 years of power tong experience, I’ve worked on sites throughout Canada, consistently delivering reliable, efficient service in a variety of field conditions. My deep familiarity with equipment and long-standing industry experience allow me to adapt quickly and contribute effectively to any job or crew.

Cameron Salyers
Field Technician
I’ve been part of the TNT team for five years, beginning part-time and now working full-time alongside my dad, Chris. During that time, I’ve become trained in computer torque monitoring systems, HD hydraulic catwalk operations, and both varsol and steam-based threadwashing systems.
While I may not be the most vocal on the crew, I stay focused, eager to learn, and always ready to get the job done. I take pride in being a reliable team member—and occasionally slipping in a well-timed bad joke. If you’ve got questions about our equipment, I’ll either have the answer or work hard to find it.

Voon Ten
Field Technician
With over three decades of experience in the oil industry, I began my career at Weatherford, where I spent 11 years operating tongs. I then joined Rig Services, working on casing jacks for 19 years, followed by two years with Hallmark providing tong services. For the past four years, I’ve been part of the team at TNT Power Tongs, where I continue to enjoy working casing jacks and am always ready to take on other roles as needed.
While I tend to keep things quiet on site, I stay focused, committed, and always ready to get the job done right. I take pride in continuously learning and supporting the team—and I’m not above sneaking in a well-timed bad joke. If you’ve got questions about our equipment, I’ll have the answer—or I’ll work hard to find it.

Derek Blattner
Field Technician
I’ve been with TNT Power Tongs for the past three years and bring nine years of oilfield experience, specializing in power tong operations. Throughout my time in the field, I’ve worked in all types of conditions, consistently maintaining a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a focus on getting the job done right the first time.
I take pride in delivering reliable, efficient service that helps keep operations running smoothly and safely.

DAvid Salyers
Field Technician
I’ve been working at TNT since December 2021, I’m the second child of Chris *the owner* I specialize in varsol thread washing & steam thread washing, I also do equipment maintenance during shop time. My preferred position to do is steam washing over varsol however. I’m a quiet, easy going and a hard worker I thoroughly enjoy working here. In my spare time I play drums in a metal band which should you definitely check out.

Tahlia McCulloch
Office Administration
Hi there! I’m the Office Administrator here—handling Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, and providing a space for the guys to occasionally hide out. I’m new to the oilfield world, and the amount I learn every day is incredible. It’s been exciting to get to know the staff, owners, and operators while gaining insight into the fast-paced nature of the industry.
This team is highly motivated and constantly on the move, always ready to meet our customers' needs. What stands out most is the welcoming environment—they bring a great balance of hard work, openness, and a healthy dose of humor (including the occasional prank). It’s a real pleasure to be part of a company that’s not only growing but doing so with heart.
